Joe working on a paper.
This afternoon Joe and I were feeling cooped up in the apartment so we decided to take our studies outside to our little patch of yard at the end of our driveway. What we didn't realize was that our landlords had a TON of friends over - with kids - and had already started a game of kickball out in the yard. So it was a little awkward when we first set up, but after saying hi things seemed neutralize and we both went on with our business.
Hydration is key!
Joe and I were just talking about how strange it will be when we're home but we don't have homework. It just seems like all our lives we've had something else to do when we came home from our workplace (school). And next year, we'll be able just to relax and just be home. No studying or required reading, just enjoying home.
Reading about spiritual care of the family.
Scripture shared at celebration (a student-led worship service at EMU) tonight:
"If you are wise and understand God’s ways, prove it by living an honorable life, doing good works with the humility that comes from wisdom. But if you are bitterly jealous and there is selfish ambition in your heart, don’t cover up the truth with boasting and lying. For jealousy and selfishness are not God’s kind of wisdom. Such things are earthly, unspiritual, and demonic. For wherever there is jealousy and selfish ambition, there you will find disorder and evil of every kind. But the wisdom from above is first of all pure. It is also peace loving, gentle at all times, and willing to yield to others. It is full of mercy and good deeds. It shows no favoritism and is always sincere. And those who are peacemakers will plant seeds of peace and reap a harvest of righteousness."
